5 Tips to Win More 6 Letter Wordle Games
- 01 Master prefixes and suffixes. Six letters are long enough to carry whole word-parts: PRE-, MIS-, and UN- at the front, -TION, -MENT, -ABLE, and -INGS at the end. When you confirm a couple of end letters, test a common ending rather than guessing at random.
- 02 Spot common endings early. A large share of six-letter answers end in -ING, -IER, -EST, or a plain -S. If your greens cluster at the front of the word, bias your next guess toward one of these endings.
- 03 Never waste a yellow letter. A yellow tile is confirmed information: the right letter in the wrong spot. Your next guess should always relocate it, never drop it. With a longer word there are more positions to test.
- 04 Burn a guess on pure information when stuck. If you have two yellows and no greens by guess three, play a word with six entirely new letters. Eliminating letters often matters more than confirming the ones you already have.
- 05 Watch for double letters. Six-letter answers contain repeats more often than five-letter ones — LETTER, COFFEE, BUTTON. If a guess late in the round is not working, ask whether a letter could appear twice.
